How It Works

Formula Flags. The Low_Stock field compares Current_Inventory against Reorder_Point for each product. The Fulfillment_Stalled field checks whether Days_Since_Status_Change exceeds the threshold while the order is in a non-terminal status. The Below_Margin field compares calculated margin against the target percentage. All three are live formulas — they update as inventory changes and orders age.

Event-Triggered Alerts. Baserow automations watch each flag field. When Low_Stock transitions to true, purchasing gets an email with the product name, current stock level, and reorder quantity. When Fulfillment_Stalled fires, the fulfillment manager gets the order details and days stuck. The _notified stamp on each flag prevents duplicate alerts and re-arms when the condition clears.

Scheduled Digest. A daily automation aggregates yesterday's order volume, today's pending fulfillment queue, current low-stock items, and all active exception flags. The digest goes to the ops lead and store manager, replacing the morning standup's "what needs attention" segment with hard data.
